UPDATED: Adverse weather conditions on the Solent have led to Hovertravel suspending their services this morning (Friday), with further delays and cancellations possible for other operators throughout the day.
Hovertravel are currently not operating between Ryde and Southsea, with Solent Flyer brought to a halt on the pad at Southsea. An update will be provided at 08:30.
Strong gusts are expected to batter the South Coast over the next 24-36 hours and this has led to Wightlink warning of likely disruption to their Yarmouth-Lymington car ferry service.
Red Funnel say their Red Jet service between West Cowes and Southampton could be affected also.
UPDATE @ 15:15 – Red Funnel have suspended their Red Jet service between West Cowes and Southampton until further notice.
UPDATE @ 16:10 – Red Jet is to remain suspended until 18:45, when a review will take place.
UPDATE @ 17:53 – Red Funnel are advising that their car ferry service is now delayed by 20 minutes due to the adverse weather conditions.
Red Jet services remain suspended and Hovertravel are yet to run today, with an update due at 18:00.
UPDATE @ 18:11 – Hovertravel services will be resuming at 18:45 from Ryde and 19:00 from Southsea.
UPDATE @ 22:00 – All services are now running to timetable.
