The troublesome floating bridge that operates between East and West Cowes is to be suspended today (Thursday).
Service will be suspended from 09:30 this morning so that it doesn’t affect the ‘school run’ until 05:00 the following day (Friday).
As is usually the case when service is suspended, the replacement launch – or jenny boat as it is sometimes known, will be in operation during the planned outage to serve both foot passengers and cyclists.

Not be running normally. That makes more sense than it’s normal pointless message .
Will it make any difference, 45mins West to East the other day!
The gift that keeps on giving, how much longer and how much more of OUR MONEY is this joke of a council going to waste on this pile of badly designed, badly built and unfit for purpose junk ?
I’m just glad I live on the mainland. None of your public transport is ever working. Trains, ferries, floating bridges. Maybe you might have a bus or two working.
