Firefighters from Shanklin and Sandown were called to a flat fire in Shanklin during the early hours of this morning (Thursday).
2 appliances were mobilised to Collingwood Road at 01:14 after a 999 call was received by fire control.
Breathing apparatus was donned and crews entered the building to discover burnt food left on the stove.
A hose reel was used in the kitchen and smoke was cleared from the property.
