UPDATED: The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have been called to a fire at Los Altos Park in Sandown this afternoon (Sunday).
Firefighters are currently on scene at the park near to the Island Line railway track, situated just off of Perowne Way and Melville Street on the opposite side of the line.
Crews are working to tackle the blaze.
UPDATE @ 13:56 – A large section of tree, which had fallen to the ground, has been engulfed by fire.
Fire crews have worked hard to extinguish the fire, but have done so successfully.
They have now left the scene and have been re-deployed to the ongoing fire in St Helens.
