The last Phoenix Choir concert for 2023 will take place on Saturday 30th September at St George’s Church in Arreton.
The choir will be singing songs from “The Lion King”, “Singing In The Rain”, “Titanic”, “Top Hat”, “Cabaret” and “Phantom Of The Opera”. Other songs will include Simon and Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water”, Elvis Presley’s “An American Trilogy” and Ray Charles’ “I Can’t Stop Loving You”. Classical ‘spot’ of the evening is “One Fine Day” from Puccini’s opera “Madame Butterfly”!
The performance starts at 19:30. Admission is free with a retiring collection in aid of new doors for the Coach House, which is situated a few yards from the church.
The Coach House is used for social events and has catering and other facilities not available in the church itself.
