A fibre telecommunications cabinet at Newport Bus Station has been given a spruce up thanks to a partnership between Community Murals and WightFibre.
The plain white box, situated in the heart of Newport Town Centre, has been given some beauty and colour, portraying Newport and its surrounding areas from daytime to nighttime as you walk around the piece of street furniture.
The wraparound design features Quay Arts, Carisbrooke Castle, Newtown Creek, Parkhurst Forest, Newport Guildhall, the Isle of Wight Festival arches and Robin Hill’s hot air balloons.
It’s the 2nd such mural to be completed on a WightFibre cabinet by Emma and Hollie from Community Murals. Their 1st was at George Street in Ryde.

I wonder how long it will stay like this.
We live in hopes.
There are 2 more cabinets at the bottom of Furrlongs that could do with a makeover, that would be nice.
