Police are continuing to make enquiries to establish the identity of a man whose body was found washed ashore in East Cowes on Saturday morning.
As previously reported by Island Echo, officers were called to Old Castle Point at 06:15 when a dog walker discovered a body on the shore.
3 days on and Hampshire Constabulary say they still do not know who the man is or how he came to be in the water. An appeal for information is still live.
The unidentified man has been described as:
- Asian
- Around 30 to 40 years of age
- Short in height
- Slim Build
- Dark, collar length hair
- Clean shaven
- Wearing brown corduroy trousers and a smart blue shirt
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
