Emergency crews including police, paramedics and firefighters are responding to a car leaving the carriageway between Bowcombe and Shorwell this evening (Thursday).
Teams have responded to the scene on the approach to Shorwell Shute after receiving reports of the crash at around 18:10.
Several police units alongside an ambulance and a paramedic officer are at the scene. The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service also in attendance.
It’s understood that a blue coloured hatchback has left the road and spun at least 90 degrees, coming to rest in the hedgerow.
It is not known if injuries have been sustained at this time.
The road is currently closed in both directions with motorists being ordered to turn around.
UPDATE @ 19:11 – The scene has now been cleared and the road reopened following an assessment by emergency crews.
It is not thought that any significant injuries were sustained during the incident.
UPDATE @ 22:34 – A 17-year-old female driver was left in the care of paramedics after losing control of her vehicle, a spokesperson for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service has said.
She did not receive any serious injuries in the single vehicle collision































































































I don’t know but I think that black BMW X5 (in photo) might have something to do with these crashes, I’ve noticed it in several photos on here at the scene of traffic incidents. Maybe he’s running these poor drivers off the road. Can’t believe its a coincident and you know what BMW drivers are like.
