Police, fire and ambulances crews are responding to a road traffic collision on Middle Road to the east of Calbourne this afternoon (Friday).
The incident has occurred on Calbourne Road near Swainston, between Calborune and Carisbrooke.
A car is said to be on its side close to the junction with Pump House Lane.
Island Echo is told that motorists are being turned around as the road is blocked in both directions.
UPDATE @ 18:40 – The road has now re-opened in both directions.
No one has sustained any serious injuries in the incident.
