Emergency services are attending a single-vehicle road traffic collision in Freshwater tonight (Thursday into Friday).
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to reports of a crash on Afton Road shortly before midnight.
It is feared that the occupants of the vehicle are trapped – although it is unknown at this stage if they’re medically, or physically trapped.
Firefighters from nearby Freshwater Fire Station are on scene alongside crews from Newport Fire Station.
UPDATE @ 08:23 – It has been confirmed that 2 people suffered minor injuries after a Toyota Celica left the road and crashed into trees.
Firefighters had to extricate the occupants from the wreckage, which was stablised.
The pair were taken to St Mary’s Hospital for treatment.
