The Isle of Wight Council’s Rights of Way team have had to close two footpaths today (Friday) due to landslips.
In Whippingham, the riverside path between Island Harbour and the Folly has been closed following a landslip at the back of Medina Park. The footpath is Public Footpath N122.
Meanwhile in Bembridge, Public Footpath BB6 – the coastal footpath – has been closed following a landslip at the rear of ‘East Cliff’.
It is hoped the paths will be reinstated within the following 3-week emergency closure period.
