Hampshire Constabulary has launched an appeal for witnesses and information after a 76-year-old pensioner was injured during a collision near Carisbrooke yesterday afternoon (Thursday).
Officers and paramedics responded to the incident at the junction with Whitehouse Road and Forest Road at 13:25 after reports of a 2 vehicle collision. The female pensioner was left with injuries following the incident and had to be taken to hospital for treatment.
Police say that the other vehicle, a dark green car, failed to stop at the scene before speeding off along Betty Haunt Lane towards Middle Road. It’s thought that significant damage will have occurred to the car’s driver-side door due to the impact.
