Island Roads will be gritting the Isle of Wight’s road network this evening (Monday) and overnight into the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Gritters will be out in force from 19:00 following the pre-planned winter treatment route. Bridge decks at Foxes Road, Newport and Stag Lane will also be treated.
From 05:00 tomorrow, a second gritting run will be undertaken targeting known water run-off areas.
Lazy land owners should be charged for ‘water run off’ extra gritting charges. Why should we pay for some land owning toff, too tight to get ditching work done. Wake up Islanders and see how your cash is squandered.
