Police investigating the alleged rape of an individual in Ryde back in the Summer have interviewed a man under caution.
Detectives have been investigating a report that a person was raped on St Thomas’ Street during the early hours of 3rd July.
Investigations have been taking place over the past few weeks to identify the prime suspect, with CCTV footage from the town reviewed.
It has been confirmed that as part of the Police’s enquiries a man has now been identified and interviewed under caution.
No charging decision has been made but enquiries continue.
