Motorists heading through Lake are facing delays following a multi-vehicle shunt on Lake Hill this afternoon (Monday).
Island Echo has been told that 3 cars have been involved in a minor collision on the road outside the Tesco Express store.
Traffic in both directions is delayed as a result of the incident, with the longest delays for those heading towards Shanklin.
It’s not thought that anybody involved has sustained any injuries at this time.
UPDATE – The scene of the crash has now been cleared and traffic is once again flowing – albeit to summer levels.

This is one of the worst junctions to get out of people will push there way out into flow been nearly hit there many times
It’s a very awkward junction to get out of from The Fairway, I turn left, go up the hill , turn round in the Leisure centre & come back down the hill. It’s a long way round but…..
– the war memorial “roundabout” slows traffic down – without it the Fairway would become extremely dangerous – perhaps you should think about those who cant cross the road quickly and are in danger of being hit by drivers – why not think about reducing traffic – rather than moaning about the inconvenience to you. Perhaps its time to get think about the possibility of overheating and flooding from climate change – because that could be really inconvenient.
Bad driving simple has that
Too many cars on the road, full stop.
