Police are continuing their enquiries into the death of a 17-year-old boy at an address in Ryde this morning (Saturday).
Hampshire Constabulary was alerted to the discovery of a body at a residential property in the St John’s Hill area at 10:14.
Officers were deployed to the scene, alongside colleagues from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service, but there was nothing that could be done to save the boy’s life.
The teen was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
There has been no suggestion of third party involvement.
