Emergency services are responding to a crash on the main Newport to Yarmouth road at Ningwood this morning (Thursday).
Island Echo understands that 2 vehicles have been involved in the crash, with 1 going into the back of another.
The collision has occurred near to the Horse and Groom pub on the A3054 Yarmouth Road.
Traffic is building in both directions.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and Police are en-route to the scene having been alerted to the crash at around 08:35.
UPDATE – The scene has now been cleared.

Judging by the amount of thumbs up for your childish comment, I’m right in saying “most ” drivers on the island are idiots….you don’t understand the basic rules of the road…
A good idea, anyone that causes a crash, if not medical, should get a driving ban at least 12 months and also have to re do complete driving test. Then just maybe drivers will learn what due care and attention is…
