Police, Coastguards and RNLI volunteers responded to Yarmouth Pier yesterday evening (Saturday) over concerns for the welfare for a woman.
Hampshire Constabulary deployed officers to the scene in the West Wight shortly after 19:00.
It was soon decided to call in the support of HM Coastguard with Coastguard Rescue Teams from The Needles and Ventnor mobilised to the scene. Yarmouth RNLI lifeboat was also tasked to launch at around 19:30.
By 20:00 the situation had been resolved with the individual, who was located on the pier, led to safety.
