2 Coastguard Rescue Teams from Ventnor and The Needles were mobilised to reports of 2 people and 2 dogs over the cliff at Niton earlier tonight (Monday).
It was reported to Solent Coastguard that the individuals and their pets were in trouble at the western side of Niton Undercliff.
Volunteer Coastguards rushed to the scene shortly before 20:30, but it was soon discovered that all causalities were safe and well having self rescued.
The Coastguard Rescue Teams were swiftly stood down from the incident.
