A Sandown woman is set to jump out of a plane in aid of the local air ambulance that helped save her partner’s life following a serious crash in September 2020.
It was almost 2-and-a-half years ago that Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance was scrambled to Briddlesford Road on the outskirts of Wootton, where a Citroen had left the carriageway and rolled into a field.
Doctors and paramedics worked to stabilise Tayler Branch, now 22, who had suffered significant injuries in the single-vehicle crash. He was flown directly to Southampton General Hospital with his family told he may not survive the night.
Now, his girlfriend Charlotte Webster is to skydive from several thousand feet in a bid to raise vital funds for the air ambulance charity.

Speaking about her upcoming challenge, 21-year-old Charlotte has said:
“If it wasn’t for the air ambulance and the way they responded and looked after Tayler, he would not be here today.
“We would like to show them our respect and how grateful we are for how them.
It is hoped that at least £500 can be raised by the skydive, which will take place in Salisbury on 30th April.
