Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club held their Christmas Mixed Foursomes stableford competition last Sunday (14th December).
Due to the recent wet weather the competition was postponed by a week, which proved to be a great decision, as teams took to the course on what turned out to be a lovely sunny day, many players wearing festive garb, and all vying for the much-prized trophies.
Players were fortified by mulled wine and mince pies after the 9th hole.
The winners with 37 points were the club captain and ladies’ captain – Dorian Cobb and Vicki Guildford, with Kathy and Ron Elliott taking second place with 35 points.
