Customer satisfaction among those travelling with Southern Vectis is at 89% for the second year running, an independent survey has found.
The Isle of Wight bus operator scored highly in an overall satisfaction rating, according to national watchdog – Transport Focus.
Customers were surveyed in Autumn 2015 for the annual survey. They gave scores and views on various aspects of the firm’s performance – including convenience, punctuality, service, comfort and condition of both vehicle and shelter.
Andrew Wickham, managing director of Southern Vectis said:
“I am pleased with the overall performance of Southern Vectis. It has been a challenging year – not least because of recent cuts to council funding.
“But our team has worked incredibly hard with the local authority to preserve as many services as possible. We are listening carefully to the needs and wishes of our customers, and plan to enhance our offering still further over the coming months.
“There is always more we can do to make travelling with us an even more pleasurable experience – and the latest Transport Focus survey will help us work to identify any further areas of improvement.”
Yesterday (Sunday) a number of changes came into force on Southern Vectis’ timetable. Details can be found here.
