The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have mobilised to a fire which has spread to a roof void at a property in Cowes tonight (Friday).
3 appliances from Newport and Cowes are currently on scene at Shooters Hill having been alerted to the incident at 20:24.
Island Echo is told that a boiler fire has spread to a roof void.
UPDATE @ 22:10 – The incident has been brought under control and appliances are now standing down.
Meanwhile, in Chale, firefighters have been extinguishing a bonfire that had become out of control.
