The Bestival Island Band, DJ & Spoken Word competition is returning, with entries now open for 2016.
Once again the Bestival team is looking for the Island’s most outstanding bands, DJs and spoken word artistes to perform at this year’s Future-themed event. Winners in each of the three categories will win the chance to perform in front of thousands, at the UK’s Best Major Festival, making it a gilt-edged chance to kick start a glittering career in showbiz! The winners of the Band category will also receive a one-day recording session at Chale Abbey Studios with an in-house engineer.

The closing date for entries is Thursday 17th March. The competition is open to Island residents only.
Finalists will be announced on Friday 25th March, before the competition’s Grand Final at Quay Arts Centre in Newport between 19:00-23:00 on Thursday 14th April, judged by Level 42’s Mark King and Bestival’s very own Rob da Bank (pictured left).
