A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault after a brawl outside a pub in Ryde during the early hours of Sunday morning (16th October).
Police have been investigating an incident which occurred outside The Marine bar on Ryde Esplanade at around 00:30 on Sunday morning.
Officers responded to reports of a group fighting and that 2 people had been assaulted.
Now, Hampshire Constabulary is appealing for witnesses to come forward. They say they know there were a number of people in the area at the time that will have witnessed this incident – and officers would very much like to speak to those people.
It has been confirmed that a 34-year-old man from Ryde has been arrested on suspicion of assault by beating and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He has been questioned and bailed until 13th November while enquiries continue.
