Police have issued a missing persons appeal in a bid to locate 28-year-old Brandon Reddin, who is thought to be on the Isle of Wight.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Police, Isle of Wight Search and Rescue (WightSAR) and the National Police Air Service (NPAS) helicopter have all been involved in the search for the high-risk missing person tonight (Thursday), as previously reported by Island Echo.
WightSAR – the Island’s voluntary search and rescue organisation – deployed a full team at the request of Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary. They were called out just before 19:30.
The NPAS helicopter conducted an area search around Culver Down, Sandown and Lake before returning to base, then resuming their search later this evening in the Thorness and Porchfield areas.
Brandon resides in London but is believed to have travelled to the Isle of Wight, specifically the Porchfield area.
The 28-year-old was last seen at approximately 21:35 yesterday evening (Wednesday) on Thorness Lane, Porchfield.
Police are very concerned for his welfare and are asking anyone who has seen him to get in touch by dialling 999, quoting reference number 44230269869.
Brandon is described as:
- White
- 6ft 3ins tall
- Of proportionate build
- Short brown hair
- Clean shaven
He was last seen wearing a burgundy top with white stripes and light brown shorts. He was also carrying a bag for life.

UPDATE FRIDAY @ 01:00 – The search has been stood down for the night, with nothing found.

UPDATE FRIDAY @ 17:00 – Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary have confirmed that the missing person has now been located.
