Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an unprovoked assault in Cowes during the early hours of Sunday 7th February.
A man and his family were driving down High Street just after midnight when two men punched the side of their car. The driver stopped the car outside of Hurst’s and confronted the two men who then punched him, causing him to fall over.
The two suspects are said to have used racially abusive language, leaving the victim and his family distressed. The victim suffered a cut to his head.
Both men are described as wearing black jackets, white tops and had short dark hair. One was wearing red trousers and the other light coloured jeans.
Did you witness this incident? Did you see two men matching the description in the area at the time of the assault?
