Police are appealing for information after a wooden gate was stolen from a driveway in a rural Island hamlet over the weekend.
It was reported to Police that the gate – located at the bottom of a driveway on Forest Road in Winford – was stolen between 18:00 on 15th November and 06:00 on 16th November.
The property owner is asking Islanders to keep an eye out for the 11 foot gate, with a reward on offer to anyone who can help find it.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary spokesperson has said:
“Anyone with information should call 101 quoting reference 44240499953.”

Thesedays people are so desperate they will take
anything, what is becoming of this island.
Must be a van / pick up driver to have the room
to put it.
A bad attack of woodworm.
I hope the gate thief doesn’t read this report and take offence…..
Maybe the thief was on weed at the time.
I think he left the fence.
