Police are investigating the theft of alcohol from a convenience store in Gunville on the outskirts of Newport.
Forensic investigators are in attendance at Central on Gunville Road this morning (Wednesday) after entry was forced to the commercial premises during the early hours of yesterday morning.
According to Police, persons unknown gained entry to the store at around 00:30 on Tuesday 27th July and stole an undisclosed amount of alcohol.
Enquiries are ongoing.

That’s a shame for the shop. It’s a nice little store, their trade was affected by Home Bargains opening, so I hope it won’t affect them too badly.
