The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has touched down on the playing fields at Ryde School this morning (Friday).
After circling around the landing site off Queens Road numerous times, the yellow and green helicopter touched down at 11:30.
It is unclear at this moment in time if the flying doctors are attending to an incident at the school or at a nearby location.
UPDATE @ 12:31 – The air ambulance has now taken off from the grounds of Ryde School and is conveying a patient to directly to Southampton General Hospital.
Island Echo has been told that the school were asked to facilitate the air ambulance’s landing.
No pupils or students have been involved in the medical emergency, which saw a local ambulance arrive at the edge of the field from another location.
