Hovertravel has had to suspend its Ryde-Southsea service this morning (Wednesday) not because of technical issues, but because of adverse weather conditions.
The cross-Solent operation has been halted due to strong winds being experienced.
Tickets are being accepted on Wightlink’s Fastcat service from Ryde Pier Head to Portsmouth, which continues to operate.
An update is expected from Hovertravel at 12:00 midday but it’s unknown if services will resume at that time.
UPDATE – Services have now resumed as conditions improve.
