The 4 people arrested on suspicion of causing wounding with intent after a stabbing in Freshwater on Saturday morning have been bailed until June.
As previously reported by Island Echo at around 06:00 on Saturday morning police and ambulance crews responded to High Street in Freshwater after receiving reports of a serious assault.
Once at the scene, a cordon was erected on the road closed between the junctions with Golden Ridge and The Old Smithy, whilst officers carried out inquiries.
At the scene, 3 men aged 27, 29 and 38, and a 29-year-old woman all from the Isle of Wight were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent after causing injuries to a 32-year-old with a knife.
It has now been confirmed by Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary that all of those involved have been bailed until 18th June.
Inquiries into what exactly happened that morning continue.

absolutely disgusted as my son lives in freshwater (alfie mansell) i would be so upset if he was attacked people like this need to be locked up for life
