Over 30 postcodes in the Shorwell and Bowcombe areas have been left without electricity during one of the hottest evenings of the year tonight (Sunday).
Residents in 32 postcodes have been left unable to use fans and power fridges and freezers this evening, as temperatures remain at around 19C-20C.
SSEN says it is aware of the issue and has dispatched engineers to rectify the fault which was reported at 23:18.
The engineer is expected to be on site by 23:50, with hopes that supplies will be restored by 02:00 tomorrow morning.
UPDATE – Power has now been restored to all customers.
