48-year-old Kenneth Gladdis has been jailed for 3 years after a raid on his Chale home led to Police finding almost 70g of cocaine.
It was on 5th May 2021 that Hampshire Constabulary raided a terraced property at The Glebe in the sleepy village of Chale Green, with officers from both sides of the Solent called in to execute the warrant.
The intelligence that led the pre-planned operation targeting the supply of Class A drugs on the Isle of Wight was correct, with officers soon finding a quantity of Class A drugs at the address off Spanners Close.
Gladdis was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of cocaine and taken into custody, where he was later charged with the offence.
Over 2 years later, in June of this year, Gladdis pleaded guilty to drug dealing, leading to a sentence hearing at the Isle of Wight Crown Court on Friday (21st July).
Taking into account the Crown Prosecution Service’s case, the defence put forward for Gladdis and over a dozen previous convictions, His Honour Judge William Ashworth sentenced Kenneth Gladdis to 3 years at His Majesty’s pleasure.

3 years! What’s the point, imagine how many lives he has wrecked !!!!!!!!
Imagine how many so called single parents on the estate and elsewhere are claiming free food and handouts yet would have been buying the drugs from him.
Tax credits and universal credits way too higher. Need to be paid in non redemptive vouchers so we know where OUR. Cash is wasted
Smile with your eyes Kenneth. Try again.
He’ll only serve half of this sentence. Disgusting.
