Isle of Wight technology business Innovative Physics is celebrating being shortlisted for honours at 3 prestigious forthcoming industry awards.
Later this month, the Shanklin-based company, which specialises in artificial intelligence and pattern recognition technology and has clients across the globe, will discover whether it will be named International Business of the Year at the 2022 Central South Business Awards.
Winners will be announced during a gala event at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton on Wednesday (28th September) hosted by comedian and star of ITV’s The Chase, Paul Sinha.
Then, in November, the company will find itself at the finals of 2 national awards.
Firstly, it is up for the titles both of International Business of the Year and Technology of the Year at the Scale-Up Awards 2022 hosted at Tobacco Dock in London by comedian, actor and writer Russell Kane. Innovative Physics was shortlisted for the award from over 400 entries.
Described as the ‘Oscars’ of the business world and bringing together politicians, VIPs and business leaders from across the UK and world, the Scale-Up Awards celebrate high-growth companies and the entrepreneurs that run them.
Later in November, Innovative Physics will again be in London, this time at the Hilton London Bankside for the E&T Innovation Awards where it has been nominated as Most Innovative Company of the Year. E&T Magazine is the flagship magazine of The Institution of Engineering & Technology.
The nominations reflect the ongoing international commercial success of Innovative Physics during a past year in which its approaches to solving complex science and engineering obstacles have continued to mark it out as a world leader in fields including such as civil nuclear, health physics, homeland security and medical.
Chief executive Mike Anderson said:
“We’re delighted that, despite the challenges, a business operating from the Island is able to compete with other UK innovators and entrepreneurial companies. We look forward to the finals night and flying the flag for the Isle of Wight.”

Interesting company-seems to get lots of awards -the company accounts look interesting as well, good luck to them!
What the heck does that mean!?
This company seems to spend its time going after awards. That takes a lot of time and effort. When you are building a company you have limited time and effort so you have to focus on what is important. I have never bothered with any of that.
