Players of the Postcode Lottery from the PO30 1 area of Newport will be bursting with excitement this week as the Postcode Millions bash, where players will share £3 million, gets ever closer.
Last week, it was announced that PO30 1 was the winning postcode sector in February’s Postcode Millions. Players will find out exactly how much they’ve won during a special event on Saturday (27th February) at Landguard Manor.
It has today (Tuesday) been revealed that the minimum amount won by players is £1,000. Those living in the full winning postcode sector, which will be revealed on the day, will receive the largest share of the money. This will be the first time that players on the Isle of Wight have won the Postcode Millions.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador and former X-Factor finalist, Danyl Johnson, said:
“It’s only a few days until I get to present all the lucky players from the Isle of Wight with their cheques and I can’t wait to see all of their reactions. We’re giving players a tiny teaser today by letting them know the minimum amount they’ll walk away with is £1,000, but there will be plenty more surprises on the day.”
People’s Postcode Lottery is a charity lottery where players play with their postcodes to win cash prizes whilst raising money for charities. A minimum of 27.5% goes directly to good causes and players have raised over £104.2 Million for charities across Great Britain and internationally.
One charity to receive this invaluable funding is Isle of Wight based, Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust which has received £525,000 to support their work with young people to regain their confidence on their way to recovery from cancer.
