The Wildheart Animal Sanctuary begins collaboration with The Price is Wight’s after bagging ‘Charity of the Year’ title in its milestone 50th anniversary year.
As the Sanctuary celebrates its 50th Anniversary, this exciting partnership will see customers invited to donate to the Sanctuary each time they purchase a deal through The Price is Wight’s website, helping support rescued animals for years to come.
To launch the collaboration, The Price is Wight is hosting a special raffle throughout May, offering the chance to win an exclusive Bear Experience for two worth £300.
This unforgettable, behind-the-scenes experience gives winners a rare opportunity to get closer than ever to the Sanctuary’s rescued bears Benji and Balu, learning about their stories, care and personalities in a truly unique and memorable setting.
All proceeds from the raffle will go directly to supporting the Sanctuary’s vital work.
In addition, The Price is Wight is proudly headline sponsoring Run Wild, the Sanctuary’s 5K charity fun run taking place on 5th July. Open to all ages and abilities, the event is designed to be fun, inclusive and family-friendly, bringing the community together for a day of fundraising, fitness and conservation – in animal fancy dress!
Providing sanctuary and a forever home for their rescued animals isn’t a one-time act of kindness – it’s a lifelong commitment. It costs nearly £2 million every year to care for the animals who now call the Sanctuary home.
This includes specialist veterinary treatment, bespoke care programmes tailored to each animal’s needs, carefully designed natural diets, purpose-built habitats, enrichment programmes to support mental and behavioural wellbeing, and highly trained animal care teams. Their work doesn’t end when an animal is rescued – it is where it truly begins.
Karyn Carson, Founder of The Price is Wight, said:
“We’re incredibly proud to support the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary during such a special milestone year.
“Celebrating their 50th anniversary while continuing their vital work rescuing and caring for animals – from big cats and primates to bears – is truly inspiring.
“We’re excited to help raise funds and awareness through our platform, and we hope our customers will join us in supporting this fantastic local charity.”
