The Island’s own Wet Leg are to support legendary rock band the Foo Fighters during their UK tour next year.
The indie-rock duo will join them at performances in London, Manchester and Cardiff kicking things off before the Foos take to the stage.
As well as the success at the BRITS back in February, the group also received 2 prestigious Grammy awards for Best Alternative Album and Best Alternative Music Performance earlier that month.
They most recently won an award at the Ivor Novello Awards, as previously reported by Island Echo.
Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl previously said he couldn’t wait to see the band perform live.
The Foo Fighters are just the latest big-name star that Wet Leg will support, with Rhian Teasdale, Hester Chambers, Joshua Mobararki, Henry Holmes and Elis Durand already supporting former One Direction member Harry Styles on his tour.

Just marketing hype. A bit different. Well done for pitching them as a young band loved by young people when the two girls are actually in their 30s and have been trying to get a break for years. Mind you, Foo Fighters are ancient has-beens and mumbly at best so not a great night out.
