A yellow weather warning for fog has been issued for the Isle of Wight with dense fog patches expected overnight and into tomorrow morning (Tuesday).

The fog will begin to thin out a few hours after sunrise.
Motorists are being warned about sudden and unexpected reductions in visibility leading to dangerous driving conditions, especially when heading from high to lower ground.
Delays to cross-Solent transport is possible, particularly Red Funnel’s services to and from Southampton.
The warning is in force from 03:00 until 10:00 tomorrow.
