A second exhibition featuring work by artists with autism at Dimbola Museum and Galleries proved such a hit, it’s hoped new venues can be found to display the very special artwork.
All of the artists are supported by the Way Forward Programme, an Island charity which works with those with physical and learning disabilities.
Lee White, Programme Lead for Way Forward said:
“Once again we had a fantastic response to our ‘Through Autistic Eyes’ exhibition selling 9 original pieces and 5 prints.
“We now hope other venues will be interested in displaying some of the work. Last year we sold 27 pieces in all, which we couldn’t have done without the support of places such as Dimbola and several of the local libraries. It’s giving our artists a wonderful opportunity to showcase their work to a wider audience and help them make a living from their art.”
