A van driver who sped past Police with no lights on last night (Saturday) was found to be driving the vehicle whilst unfit through drink or drugs. Officers from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary stopped the Ford Transit Connect in Ventnor after it shot past them with no lights on. The driver was also arrested for driving without insurance, driving without a licence and possession of class-B drugs. The vehicle was seized, and the driver spent the night in the cells. They will appear at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court at a later date.
