Police on the Isle of Wight are investigating another unexplained death following the sudden passing of a 28-year-old man in Cowes on Tuesday afternoon. Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary was alerted to the death on Tuesday afternoon (21st November) by colleagues from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service. Paramedics attended Trafalgar Court on Terminus Road but there was nothing that could be done to save the life of a male in his 20s. His family has been informed. Police say that the death is currently being treated as unexplained. Officers are carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances of how the man died and remain at Terminus Road today (Thursday) while those enquiries continue.
A post-mortem will be carried out in due course. Local residents have been reluctant to comment on what took place on Tuesday afternoon. This unexplained death is the 3rd on the Island in just over a week. On 15th November, Police launched an investigation into the death of a man in his 40s in Shanklin. Then, on Monday, another investigation was launched following the death of a man in his 50s in Ryde. Police say they are not connecting the 3 deaths as all have different circumstances.
