UPDATED: Island Line is running to a revised timetable this morning (Saturday) due to a broken down train.
For the second time this week the Ryde Pier Head to Shanklin route has been hit by a mechanical breakdown.
The service has been reduced to just 1 train per hour. The train services that are running will be the XX:18 Shanklin to Ryde Pier Head and the XX:49 Ryde Pier Head to Shanklin.
South Western Railway anticipate a normal service will resume by 13:00.
UPDATE @ 11:02 – Island Line is now operating a good service.
UPDATE @ 12:19 – A further mechanical gremlin has hit, meaning Island Line is back to an hourly service.
Disruption is expected to continue until 14:00.
UPDATE @ 13:26 – Following invesitgatatory works, Island Line is now running a normal service.
