UPDATED: 1 of 2 trains that operate on Island Line has broken down resulting in a reduced service this afternoon (Wednesday).
The mechanical failure means that an hourly service is running at XX:18 from Shanklin and XX:49 from Ryde Pier Head.
Disruption is currently expected to last until 16:00.
UPDATE @ 16:49 – Island Line operators South Western Railway say that disruption is now expected to continue until the end of the day.
UPDATE @ 19:10 – A normal service has now resumed between Ryde Pier Head and Shanklin.
