The mobile phone network Three (3) has been hit by a major outage across the Isle of Wight and in other parts of the South tonight (Sunday).
Thousands of people are experiencing issues using their mobile to send and receive calls – an issue which initially developed earlier on today.
Customers are potentially facing days of disruption as the network operator says it hopes to have everything back to normal by Friday 4th January.
Island Echo understands customers in areas such as Gosport and Havant are also affected by the technical glitch.
