TEEN ARRESTED AFTER ELDERLY DOG WALKER SUFFERS ‘VILE’ BEATDOWN IN COWES

A 14-year-old boy from East Cowes has been arrested following an alleged assault in which an elderly man was kicked in the ribs and punched in the head whilst walking his dogs in Cowes yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).

The alleged incident occurred at around 15:00 in the grounds of Northwood House, as the victim was walking his 2 retriever dogs.

Island Echo understands that the incident occurred after the teen was seen allegedly vandalising a nearby war memorial. An altercation then took place, during which the pensioner was assaulted.

Videos circulating on social media appear to show the teenager delivering 4 kicks to the man’s abdomen before being restrained and led away.

Despite this, the youth is then seen approaching the 74-year-old again and punching him in the head, causing him to fall to the ground.

A Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary spokesperson has said:

“We were contacted at 6:45pm yesterday (Wednesday 25th March) with a report that a 74-year-old man from Cowes had suffered injuries to his ribs and been punched in the head in an assault at around 3:00pm on the same day.

Following enquiries a 14-year-old boy from East Cowes was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Article continues below this advertisement

“He has been bailed with conditions until Thursday 25th June whilst our enquiries continue.”

Thankfully, the victim did not require hospital treatment and is now recovering at home with bruised ribs.

What is going on!? First 3 lads attack a car driver and now another attacks a pensioner? Someone needs to get our local MPS involved and increase our police budget, which is the lowest in the country!

Not to mention the disabled man in a wheelchair in
Sandown, who sadly died a few days later.

We need law and order on the island, the island is no
longer a safe place.

Every year our Council tax goes up and nothing is being
done to tackle crime.

The country is lost!, whatever happened to GREAT Britain!

Since Reform are not in power locally or nationally i’m not sure how you can blame them. Secondly most people who vote Reform would be against someone putting graffiti on a war memorial, that sounds more like a left wing thing to do.

No Doubt the vile child will get a slap on the wrist, whilst boasting about it with his friends which he obviously got to film it.

Correct, a child is only as good as their parents if the
parents are no good, then 9 times out of 10 their

I reckon somone needs to invent a device, like an ankle tag, that does no ‘harm’, but inflicts agonising pain, 24 hours a day, 7 daya week,.. & scum like this, once convicted have to wear one for several years.

You are dreaming. In fact I can probably write the court report even now….

“Oscar Vincent said that the scrote had been suffering with an affliction that causes him to call strangers to whom he is not related either “Bruv” or “Fam”. To make matters worse, he does this in a silly squeaky voice which makes him appear to be mentally unwell.

These problems have meant he is only accepted in circles where others too are suffering the same affliction. It’s no wonder he lashed out at a normal person.

He has since turned his life around and would hope the court give him another chance. He promises not to harm anyone else, honest, Guv.

If that’s not good enough to get him off, I must inform the court that he has ADHD which means he doesn’t understand R E S P E C T and also has no idea who Aretha Franklin was.

To add insult to injury, his mother seems to have forced him to wear hand-me-down joggers that were clearly made for somebody with a larger bottom.”

He won’t be punished at all. He will be rewarded at our expense. My thoughts are with the old boy who got attacked. As much as I hate to talk this way, I really do hope he has family who will meter out some form of justice.

Disgraceful, sickening & makes me sad how society has produced & nurtured this unforgivable shite. Send him to a war torn country to try & fight another bully. Clearly needs to channel energy into a true cause. Drug thug no doubt. Hope the jury gets to deliver a punishment worse, for example I am Happy to lynch, kick, punch, or film the sickening punishment, & he will never ever re-offend.
Sending best wishes to the victim. I would have done the same….challenge the scum

Sadly further proof that this country and this Island has sadly lost it’s way…

When did this form of behaviour become acceptable?

When did we become normalised to these type of headline? And these values?

And when did we lose all sense of self respect, let alone a sense of respect for others – both now – and for those who gave everything in the past?

While some may try, this has nothing to with politics and nor can we blame this on immigration.

This has everything to do with self – self accountability, self leadership, self ownership and self respect.

This is where the UK has lost it’s way. And why we left behind a nation hell bent on tearing itself apart.

My thoughts are with the gentleman left to heal when all he did was show moral courage and stand up for the right thing.

And as for the young man in question, I hope you put down your phone, get down your knees and beg for forgiveness.

If I was a relation of this poor pensioner I would find out who this piece of excrement was and pay him a little visit to show him the error of his ways! – an eye for an eye!! Trouble is he will get a slap wrist and I would get banged up because that’s the way of the justice system in this country.

For once I am lost for words.

This piece of disrespectful scum needs instant
imprisonment / Borstal

TO CARRY OUT SUCH ACTS IS INHUMANE, HE WILL NEVER
BE ANY GOOD FOR SOCIETY!

To vandalise a war memorial is UNFORGIVABLE.

This piece of sh*t might not be here if it was not for war
heroes who gave their all for this country and then to
attack a pensioner is UNFORGIVABLE

If his parents are on benefits they should be stopped
immediately and I personally don’t care how old he is
strong punishment is needed!, NO EXCUSES! due to age

TEENAGERS NEED TO BE TAUGHT RIGHT FROM WRONG AT
SCHOOL AND THEY SHOULD BE TAUGHT “RESPECT”

What is becoming of this island, an innocent man was
attacked in Sandown recently by teenagers and now this.

The island used to be a safe place.
Islandwide CCTV is much required and more police on the
beat.

Bring back corporal punishment. Make the punishment fit the crime. Maybe that would make feral youth think twice before they acted.

Before we hear it argued that this poor child has mental ‘issues’ and was the ‘victim of a toxic environment’ we have to accept and address and ever growing problem. Too many young people are not being taught the basic rules we all need to follow for society to work and people can rub along together. It goes back further than a generation of psychobabble and changing attitudes, but this incident illustrates exactly what’s gone wrong. And it can only get worse if we don’t get a grip on the situation. Let’s see what happens to this young victim of a bad environment when he’s up before the beak, but I think we can predict the result…and that’s one of the causes of such feral behaviour.

He’s from yachting blue blood seems privileged so funny hand shake leave it a while …..he’s a good boy really good family and after all we pensioners should be seen and not heard ….. fancy that next the elderly gentleman will be charged for assaulting the boys foot with his stomach….bedlam…. What goes around comes around we can only hope and pray mummy and daddy will be lost at sea, because as parents they are losers probably too wrapped up in their own little gin and tonic world to notice what a piece of “shhhit” their DNA has produced.

The trouble is he is probably reading all these comments (if, in fact, he can actually read!) and is feeling good from all the reactions wearing them as a badge of honour!!This is the type of personality that eventually end up doing time for manslaughter or murder.

True he’ll now have a repect amongst his peers like never before. He’ll he’ll be untouchable. Feared by most his own age and if he does nothing again he’ll be held on a pedestal by the young. The old like us will just let him get away with it for fear of a later attack from him, friends or family against us, our house or property. So unfortunatly he as i say is untouchable and all us keyboard warriors can do is bluster.

And if the elderly person fought back, guess who would be the vile person for daring to hurt an ‘innocent ‘ child.
Act like a grown up, get treated like a grown up.
Should have given the precious darling a broken jaw and involuntary tooth removal.
Wouldn’t be a big man then eh!

What if the person he attacked was a politician or royal
I bet he would face the full force of the law then!

It makes one wonder does the law represent ordinary folk!

This is an absolute disgrace and hope the pensioner is recovering. There is definitely a problem with some teenagers in this country and island. A few years back, we had a group of teenagers ransacking a large house causing tens of thousands of pounds of damage. Very little happened to them. Last month, a man in a wheelchair was assaulted by teenagers and died a week later. Last week, we had thugs assault an innocent driver because the thugs were annoyed that THEY collided with the innocent car driver. Then we have this. Unfortunately, we have liberal do-gooders in the schools, police and courts. They feel sorry for these criminals because they will have a record. The courts will give them another chance. Well, I’m sick of this liberal attitude towards these types. In the doctors‘ surgery a while back, some gobby teenagers had their dirty feet on the coffee table in reception. I felt ashamed that I didn’t say anything as I knew I would get a mouthful back, or even worse. Nobody said anything to these gobby teenagers. MOST of the ‘good’ teenagers leave the island for university leaving behind a large percentage of the ‘bad’ ones. It’s the same in many of the countrie’s coastal towns. We need MORE police on the streets, CCTV and more detention centres.

We need vigilantes and more eye for an eye principles, and the do gooders and hand wringers got rid of. They are aiding and abetting this scum by protecting them and siding with them. We also need borstals back as a deter ant and tagging and that ”Because of their age bullshit” got rid of. Scum is scum at what ever age

For years I have heard locals blame mainlanders for
crime.
it is island born and bred scum that is responsible for
the majority of the crime on the island.

Maybe their parents are persons who have at one time
come from the island.

The majority of elderly Islanders I have come across over
the last 50 years are law abiding persons.
