A 43-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man have been arrested and questioned in connection with suspected drug dealing after their car was stopped in Apse Heath yesterday afternoon (Tuesday).
At around 15:00, officers stopped a silver Peugeot 206 on Newport Road following a tip-off that the car may be connected to drug-related activity on the Isle of Wight.
The car was searched and a quantity of suspected class B drugs was discovered. Witnesses say there was a strong smell of cannabis.
Island Echo is told that the vehicle – which has since been seized – was pulled over at the Raj’s Premier car park and that a number of black bags were sighted inside the vehicle.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed that a 43-year-old woman from Newport was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class B drugs. It has also been confirmed that a 43-year-old man from Shanklin was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and being concerned in the supply of class B drugs.
Both have been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.
Well caught. Excellent tipoff. Sadly only the tip of the iceberg judging by the amount of drug drivers now being apprehended.
Drug dealers are scum and wreck lives , ruin families ( including their own), and neighbourhoods.
They are greedy selfish people with no conscience or empathy. Not prepared to work for a living and pay tax.
Support the police and keep reporting them and hopefully they can arrest more and send a message to them that drug dealing will not be tolerated on the Isle of Wight.

No you don’t. Unless you want to be pulled over every day. Best thing to do if you’re a dealer is not spend the money, sell hard till you get caught. Have your money safe that they can not find (easier to than you think). Then when you come out, happy days. Retire at 25
