A suspected drug dealer has been arrested following a traffic stop in Ryde last night (Wednesday). Police spotted the vehicle turning into a no-entry road, having pulled the vehicle over, officers spoke to the 18-year-old driver and conducted roadside drug wipes/breath tests. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of drug driving. Following this, the 24-year-old male passenger was searched and police seized a quantity of suspected Class A drugs. A search of a nearby property also led to police seizing further drugs and paraphernalia. The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply. Both men have since been released from custody but remain under investigation while further enquiries are conducted.

Plod should park a vehicle in Brading and catch all the motorists
who break the law every day by turning into the NO Right turn road.
Wow what a disaster is that all you have to worry about.
Who cares what goes on in Brading it’s a pit.
Well it is a concern because there are so many near misses in Brading, which is a lovely village.
There is NO Law and Order on the Island, hence no one gives a
Fcuk about Road signs and rules.

And all the morons that turn right out of Mc Donald’s in Ryde despite there being a massive no right turn sign and it clearly being dangerous. And it takes longer to turn right than going left and around the round about. Mind numbing stupidity.
There’s enough evidence that island drivers do for an entire conference, this island is fully occupied by total idiots….
That sign is not enforceable as if you notice it’s smaller than a proper legal road sign. And that’s not just my take on it, I queried it with a police officer and they confirmed as such!
Seen qué back through carpark to church because of selfish driver who wouldn’t turn left. Several drivers got out and spoke to driver and pointed out sign, but she didn’t care. Might not be enforcable but common sense.

What are they called these days?
Why not target the people who are bringing it over on the ferries. If I was a drug dealer I’d pay a couple of pensioners to bring it back in the boot of their car. There should be the same police presence at ferry terminals as there is in airports. British Transport Police allow the transfer of drugs to take place unhindered.
Or getting it off the beach lol
