Adverse weather conditions are causing further cross-Solent travel disruption this evening (Sunday) with all foot passenger services suspended.
Wightlink has been forced to suspend its Ryde Pier Head to Portsmouth Fastcat service due to strong winds, with Hovertravel’s Ryde-Southsea service also suspended.
Red Funnel has suspended its West Cowes-Southampton service as a result of the weather, with the travel operator also suspending its vehicle ferry service between East Cowes-Southampton due to a broken down vehicle.
Island Echo understands the rear axle of a VW van has collapsed on the upper deck ramp.
Wightlink’s Fishbourne and Yarmouth car ferry services are still running.
