Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service is attending an incident involving a bin lorry in the West Wight this morning (Monday).
1 appliance from Freshwater was mobilised to Colwell Road at around 09:40 after it was reported to fire control that smoke had been seen coming from the rear compartment of the refuse vehicle.
It is thought that an issue with the lorry itself is to blame.
Firefighters remain on scene.
